I called it the 'cisphere' ( pronounced sigh-sphere ) so's I could stop calling it the Space Internet.

One-shot characters: Because the dialogue needs mouths to come out of. They're basically random design-wise.

And, yet, I draw them for a few pages and start to wonder who they are. Captain Hotpants is an independant cargo runner from Durga. I get the feeling she won her big tub of a ship in a card game. She already had her pilot's license, possibly for a personal craft, since she wasn't running cargo before. She has the feeling of spite and snubbed money - possibly from a wealthy family, shouldn't have had to work a day in her life, but she found it boring and ran off, though uncertain what kind of job she wanted before fate tossed her a cargo tub. Possibly the family ran a casino, where she learned how to trounce people at poker.
