I expect we're not counting the survival cannibalism, Hurmiz.

Hurmiz' not-hair is attached all down its back, not just its head - you want maximum attachment points to get the oxygen into your system.  The side-fins are because Hurmiz has been taking notes and DNA samples from nudibranches.

I get the feeling Hurmiz is the protector of this clan; the type who will do anything, whether asked to or not, to protect those under his care and loyal enough to know when not to listen to the one giving the commands to do his job.
