The original idea was that Starscream-wearing-Cyclonus would punch Waspinator-wearing-Starscream hard enough that it would knock Waspinator's spark out of Starscream's body, but then we'd have to deal with Waspinator-as-loose-spark.

So as long as Dreadmoon's dragging Waspy's shell around, we might as well whallop Waspinator-wearing-Starscream with it and that will knock Waspinator's spark back into his correct body.

Why no one else has ever swapped sparks via getting smashed into someone is because. Maybe one of the bodies has to be empty.
