Then I'm like, "You know how you remember smells because you have a couple molecules of everything you ever smelled up in your nose? Probably like that. Got a few molecules of everything you ever ate tucked away somewhere. This also explains how they can share shapes with each other. You are everybody your meal has ever eaten."

Have you ever read about plasmids and bacterial conjugation and bacterial transformation?
Plasmids are rings of DNA that bacteria can share around like cassettes.
Bacterial conjugation is when one bacterium docks with another bacterium and shoves a copy of one of its plasmids into the other bacterium.
Bacterial transformation is when a bacterium finds some DNA just laying around and decides to take it up and start using it.
I had a dream about your comic, where Tal set up a bunch of trials that were like an obstacle course that Yogzarthu had to go through before they could visit human society, and everyone expected it to be really hard and scary, but it was actually easy. The last trial was to pick between two sections of the course, and one section was designed by Partasah (? how?) and the other by Zefonith? And which side of the course somehow determined if they'd be able to imitate male humans or female humans... weirdness.
